SIPs are a premium product but through SIP-Smart design they will not only be completed sooner for about same cost as that of a conventional lesser quality (stick frame) build which WILL end up costing you more money each and every month in energy bills.
The panels are incredibly strong and as a result there are many ways to optimize and utilize them. They are able to span good distances which allow for additional (upper) living space and create large vaulted areas, and open design/flexibility.
The saying Keep It Simple, Stupid! (KISS) could not be more applicable and offer such a clear advantage as when you are applying it to designing/building with SIPs. But having said that, SIPs are used on all shapes and custom construction configurations, and they are certainly not limited to just basic design applications. The bottom line is the simplest designs allow for the speediest assembly times. Through well thought out design & panel optimization (using the largest, fewest panels - each with minimum waste) you receive a maximum dollar for value efficiency, especially when taking advantage of the clear span capabilities and create value-added living space for a maximum volumetric efficiency. Virtual Construction
First we build it virtually.... Shelter creates a precisely scaled "working" 3d model of all our projects. Changes are visualized accurately and potential issues are picked up and worked through "virtually" saving you time & money. Alterations at this stage of the game are able to be dealt with much easier and less expensive than when its already in concrete!
Our 3d design & rendering studio offers greater client visualization, provides enhanced construction accuracy & the "working" 3d models can be finely detailed and rendered to photorealistic quality for marketing & presentation purposes as well as made into animation/movie clips (walk-throughs & fly-by).
