3d - BIM technology
Our design studio uses leading edge 3d software on all our projects. This software uses BIM (building information modeling) which is the process of generating and managing building data to increase productivity in building design and construction. The process encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, and quantities and properties of building components.
3D design modeling is a more thorough & complete process than 2D, and as a result greatly improves the overall design quality. A designer who works in only 2D is forced to hold/determine much of the information mentally. There is alot of information and elements in play and the brain is simply unable to calculate and visualize to exact scale. As a result there will be some errors. 3D modeling reduces human error, saves time & money and provides as an invaluable visualization tool.
